Mrs. Meaghan began her career at AFM in 1999, and has been Head of School since 2011. She loves her work and feels very lucky to be able to spend her days with kids instead of in a boring office. When not at school, Mrs. Meaghan enjoys gardening and spending time with her family exploring the great outdoors!

Mrs. Aruna loves her job! She enjoys her interactions with colleagues, and says her favorite thing about children is their innocent and loving nature. In her free time, Mrs. Aruna enjoys watching travel documentaries, gardening, and reading, often falling asleep at night mid-page! Someday she would like to visit the Mt. Everest base camp.

Ms. Arminder loves to present lessons! She enjoys watching the children’s eyes light up when they learn a new concept. Mrs. Arminder likes to listen to Oldies, both English and Indian versions. She likes cooking shows, but she doesn’t like cooking. Mrs. Arminder loves cats and dogs. She has a cat that is almost 20 years old, and has been a proud mum to 5 dogs!

Mrs. Kalyani began teaching at AFM in 2012. In the classroom, she enjoys the innocent way the children express themselves. An avid podcast enthusiast, Mrs. Kalyani loves to travel when time permits.

Mrs. Nirmala is a very creative lady! She enjoys cooking, making crafts, and make-up artistry. She finds humor in most things, and can often be found laughing. She likes working with children because of the positivity that they bring into her life. Someday Mrs. Nirmala would like to own a farm!

Mrs. Reshma likes working with children because she enjoys their curiosity and eagerness to learn new things. Someday she would like to be a lead teacher herself! Mrs. Reshma spends her free time with her family and friends watching movies and hanging out. She also loves to dance!

Mrs. Lynn has been an Ahwatukee resident since 1993 when she moved with her family from NY. On the creative side, Mrs. Lynn makes music with various instruments, and someday would like to write and publish a children’s book. Although she admits to being a bit clumsy, Mrs. Lynn enjoys hiking on nearby trails.

Mrs. Archana enjoys the energy and innocence that children show at school every day. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and reading books. Mrs. Archana also loves to eat, which prompts her to try new recipes. Someday she’d like to have more time to travel.

Mrs. Kandis is a very creative lady! When not at AFM, she designs mugs, makes t-shirts, and produces beautiful gift items on one of her fabulous machines. In her free time, Mrs. Kandis enjoys spending time with her family.

Ms. Hailee enjoys the seeing creativity her students demonstrate in her Art classes. In her free time she enjoys reading, concerts, and boba tea. Someday she’d like to travel to Japan and Korea. Ms. Hailee thinks it’s funny that the kids often confuse her with Ms. Lexi despite them looking nothing alike!

Sra. Dolores loves her job teaching Spanish, especially when the children call her Mrs. Colores! In her spare time, Sra. Dolores enjoys spending time with her daughters and her dogs. She likes telling jokes and making people laugh. Someday she’d like to learn to play the guitar.

Mrs. Sravya joined AFM with a love and passion towards Montessori ways of practical teaching. Interacting with young minds allows her to see and learn many things in new ways. In her free time , Mrs. Sravya loves to do acrylic paintings and go hiking with her husband and friends.

Mrs. Maria enjoys interacting with the children, usually managing to find out some funny piece of information in the process! She doesn’t take herself too seriously, and enjoys finding the humor in life. Mrs. Maria enjoys nature trips and hiking, and would like to retire on an island someday.

Mrs. Suganya likes working with children because she likes interacting with them and enjoys their innocence. The physical exercise and increase in creative thinking are two of the things Mrs. Suganya most enjoys about her work at AFM. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family, garden, enjoy music, and cook.

Mr. Evelio’s friends call him Smiley because they say he smiles all the time! He says, “Why be sad when you can be happy?” In his free time, Mr. Evelio likes to go to restaurants and movies and attend sporting events. He also enjoys woodworking, often taking furniture apart and reassembling it so it looks better.

Ms. Keira’s favorite thing about kids is their creativity and imagination. No stranger to creativity herself, Ms. Keira enjoys making costumes and dressing like her favorite characters. Someday she’d like to drive across the country to visit all of her friends.
